Palm Acid Oil ( PAO ) is a side result of the process of refining palm oil. Most of the content is dominated by FFA (above 50%) and neutral oil, with 2-3% softness and other residual substances. This product has similarities with Palm Fatty Acid Distilate (PFAD).

The main use of PAO is to be used as minimal fedd, soap making material and for the production od dis tilled fatty acid. This product is classified as rare for production in European countries because Malaysian and Indonesian palm oil is distilled with physical process that produces more PFAD than PAO.
